Seven years after the last school festival, last Friday (29 August 2025) the Georgianum school community presented itself to its visitors, who were numerous and curious to explore the many culinary and hands-on activities on the school grounds.
The afternoon began in the canteen, where headmaster Lucas Sieberg – accompanied by musical performances – warmly welcomed the guests and expressed his special thanks to the school's organising team.
Ms Hues gave some final tips and pointers, particularly with regard to how the day's proceeds would be donated. Half of the money raised will go to the school community to help design the school playground, while the other half will be donated to regional initiatives and institutions, namely the Löwenherz children's hospice, the cancer fund, the animal shelter, the Lingen food bank and the Christophoruswerk.
The impressions make it clear that a school community is more than the sum of its members. In addition to all the energy and commitment demonstrated in the many attractive activities, coordinator Cornelia Horas wrote in the weekly newsletter that the members of the school community and certainly also visitors were able to observe and feel the active, attentive and trusting interaction between all Georgians.
